Andreas Pereira set for new deal at United.

The 23-year old Brazilian is on the verge of signing a new four-year contract, after graduating from the Manchester United academy. United had already triggered a one year extension clause in his existing contract in March, but the proposed new contract will keep him at the club until 2023.

Pereira made 22 appearances for United in all competitions last campaign, having spent the previous two seasons on loan at Granada and Valencia respectively, and scored his first goal against Southampton in March.

Although born in Belgium, Pereira qualifies to play for Brazil through his father. He made history last September, when he made his international debut against El Salvador, becoming the first player in over 100 years to play for Brazil who was born outside the country.

Meanwhile, United appear to have performed a U-turn when it comes to Juan Mata. The Spaniard was widely thought to be likely to be leaving the club this summer, but it now seems he has been offered a new deal to stay at Old Trafford.
