Arsenal keeper David Ospina set for Napoli loan move

Arsenal goalkeeper David Ospina is set to undergo a medical at Serie A side Napoli as he prepares to move away from The Emirates.

Relegated to third place in The Emirates pecking order behind Per Cech and new arrival Bernd Leno, the 29-year old Columbian international has arrived in Italy to try and clinch the deal, which is initially for a one-year loan period, although Napoli will have the option to make it into a permanent arrangement at the end of the season, reports The Evening Standard.

Napoli, who saw regular goalkeeper Pepe Reina depart for AC Milan this summer, spent €35 million (£31 million) on Udinese’s Alex Meret as a replacement, but, unfortunately for him, he broke his arm in training, and they are in desperate need of a first-choice keeper ahead of their season which gets underway on Saturday, when they travel to Rome to take on Lazio.
