Another player set to depart Stamford Bridge in January is striker Michy Batshuayi, with Chelsea prepared to let the player leave on loan as he seeks regular first-team football.
Although the 24-year old only signed from Marseilles in a £33 million deal last year, he has struggled for game time in West London, finding himself behind Diego Costa in the pecking order last season, and Alvaro Morata this time round.
Batshuayi is not thought to figure in Manager Antonio Conte’s short-term plans, and the club are now ready to loan him out, as the player bids to win a place in Belgium’s World Cup squad next summer.
West Ham are one club who have shown interest in the player in the past, and there are sure to be others who will join the hunt once his availability has been confirmed.
Last week Batshuayi appeared as a substitute in Chelsea’s draw with Atletico Madrid in the Champions League and, the next day, turned out for their under-21 side in the Checkatrade Trophy, scoring two goals.
