City and England reject linked with shock Chelsea move

Manchester City and England reject Joe Hart has been linked with a shock move to Chelsea, in a move that is sure to anger a proportion of the club’s fan base, after he flopped with one of their London rivals last season.

Hart, now 31 years old, finds himself third-choice goalkeeper at Manchester City now, behind, Ederson and Claudio Bravo, and was left out of Gareth Southgate’s England squad, after spending last season on loan with West Ham, where he struggled to hold down a first-team place after a series of disappointing performances and goalkeeping howlers.

Despite this though, bosses at Chelsea are said to be fans of Hart, report The Sun, and regard him as a cheap option to replace Thiebaut Courtois, who is on the brink of completing his move to Real Madrid. Hart also will boost Chelsea’s quota of home-grown players.

City manager Pep Guardiola has already said that he wants “to try and find a solution” for Hart who is in the final year of his current contract at The Etihad.
