Everton boss under pressure

Everton boss Marco Silva is under pressure for his job after his side’s latest defeat to Wolves at the weekend.

Silva was appointed to replace Sam Allardyce at the end of last season amidst high hopes that he could be the man to propel the tam towards the top end of the Premier League table again. He was also mean to bring a style and pattern of play to the side to make them attractive to watch again, after the functional performances that the supporters were used to seeing under Allardyce and his predecessor Ronald Koeman.

Instead, the team have been inconsistent, and have produced football that is tedious to watch. They are now ninth in the table, and some five points off the last remaining Europa League place, which is currently held by Wolves, the team that comfortably saw them off at Goodison Park on Saturday afternoon.

Speaking to the media after the match Silva admitted “I am not here to find excuses or whine about something, of course there will be questions about me.

When everything goes well, they say good things about the manager and when something is wrong it is normal as well the manager gets pressure.”
