Everton linked with £70 million move for Wilfried Zaha

Everton are set to join the race to sign Crystal Palace winger Wilfried Zaha, although they may have to compete with Tottenham Hotspur and German side Borussia Dortmund.

According to The Daily Mail, new Everton manager Marco Silva rates Zaha very highly and is keen to make him his first signing at Goodison Park.

Palace have slapped a £70 million valuation on a player who has been integral to their relegation survival campaigns for the past two seasons, and who they would look to retain in order to spearhead their challenge going into next season.

That type of price tag may be too high for Everton, as it would eclipse by some way their record transfer fee of £45 million which they paid Swansea City for Gylfi Sigurdsson last summer. However, to help raise the money, they are considering selling Yannick Bolasie, who ironically enough, they actually bought from Palace two years ago.
