Everton linked with Inter Milan midfielder

Everton, who have yet to make any signings in the summer transfer window, have been linked with a move for Inter Milan midfielder Jaoa Mario,

The Portuguese international spent the second half of last season on loan at West Ham and despite largely impressing at The London Stadium, under David Moyes, after a slow start, the Hammers declined to make the move permanent, and he has returned to his parent club Inter.

Now, according to Tutto Mercato, Everton are considering bringing him back to the Premier League, although whether they are prepared to match Inter’s valuation of £26 million, for a player who has been deemed surplus to requirements at the San Siro, remains to be seen.

Mario has 40 international caps for Portugal and has scored two international goals. He was part of the team that won the 2016 European Championship and was also a member of the Portuguese squad during this year’s World Cup.
