Everton linked with PSG right-back

Everton have been linked with a summer move for PSG right-back Thomas Meunier.

That is according to The Sun who reports that the Belgian international could be open for a move to Goodison Park if it offers him the opportunity to play first-team football more regularly.

Meunier finds himself competing for a spot with Brazilian veteran Dani Alves in Paris, and although he has played more minutes under current boss Thomas Tuchel than he did under his predecessor Unai Emery, many of his appearances have come off the bench.

Everton are looking for a long-term replacement for Séamus Coleman, who has been at the club for a decade, but has not looked the same player since his long injury lay-off caused by the broken leg he suffered playing for the Republic of Ireland against Wales two years ago.

With Meunier out of contract with PSG in June 2020, Everton believe they may be able to pick him up for a cut-price amount this summer.
