Forest manager Karanka under pressure for his job

Nottingham Forest manager Aitor Karanka could be the latest Championship manager to fear for his job.

The Spaniard was only appointed boss at the City Ground in January of this year, but could soon be looking for a new position, reports The Daily Mail, as the club’s owner Evangelos Marinakis, is unhappy with the way that the club is slipping out of the promotion picture, after a run of four games without  a win, which included surrendering a three goal lead to high-flying Norwich City away on Boxing Day.

There have also been rumours of dressing room unrest, with Karanka’s confrontational man-management style coming under scrutiny, amidst reports that he has lost the confidence of several senior players in the dressing room.

If he is to be dismissed, there are no shortage of candidates to take his place, with former Fulham manager Slavisa Jokanovic and ex-Monaco boss Leonardo Jardim all said to be in the frame to take over at the City Ground.
