Frank Lampard wants to bring another ex-Chelsea player to Derby

New Derby County boss Frank Lampard has been linked with a move for former Chelsea player and team mate Salomon Kalou.

Lampard has already been linked with moves for his friend and former captain John Terry, as well as young Chelsea defender Jay Dasilva.

Now Hertha Berling forward Kalou is also on Lampard’s radar, according to SportBild.

The 32-year old Ivory Coast international played for six years alongside Lampard at Stamford Bridge, scoring 60 goals in 251 senior appearances for the club, and winning the Premier League and Champions League titles, as well as four FA Cups during his time in West London.

He left Chelsea on a free transfer in July 2012 and spent two years with French side Lille, before signing with Hertha in August 2014, where he has gone on to establish himself as a fan favourite.

He is under contract with Hertha until 2020 but would be willing to sell him for a “double-digit million” offer.

Andy is an exiled English football fan living in Cyprus. He loves all sports but football is his abiding passion, and he still has dreams every now and then about scoring the winning goal in a Wembley Cup Final, even though his playing days are long gone. He follows most major leagues, across Europe at least, and has a favoured team in each. When he’s not watching, listening, reading or downloading podcasts about football, he spend his time worrying about his beloved Arsenal.
