Fulham make late signing of Liverpool winger

Just as the transfer window was closing. Fulham concluded a late piece of business to bring in Liverpool winger Lazar Marković.

The 24-year old Serbian will join on loan for the rest of the season, whilst Fulham complete the paperwork to make the deal permanent, reports The BBC.

The move brings down the curtain on Marković’s unhappy spell at Anfield. Joining the club from Benfica in July 2014 in a deal worth £20 million, he only made 34 senior appearances for the Reds, before embarking on a series of loan moves, which took in Fenerbahçe, Sporting Lisbon, Hull City and Anderlecht.

Now he is hoping to revive his career at Craven Cottage, where he will team up with his Serbian international colleague Aleksandar Mitrović.

Marković was not the only deal that Fulham completed on deadline day. They also brought in Hoffenheim midfielder Havard Nordvelt on loan, whilst Aboubakar Kamara has been lent out to Turkish side Yeni Malatyaspor.
