James McArthur has signed an extension to his current contract at Crystal Palace, and has now committed himself to the club until the end of the 2020/2021 season.
The Scottish international has become an integral part of midfield for Roy Hodgson’s men, having made 135 appearances for the team in all competitions since signing from Wigan Athletic in August 2014.
The former Hamilton Academicals’ player has 32 full caps for Scotland, but he is currently taking a break from the international arena, after requesting current national team manager Alex McLeish not to pick him, because of ongoing issues with his back.
Speaking to the club’s website, McArthur said:” I’m very pleased to commit myself to the club for another three years. It’s great, and I’m excited about the challenges that come.”
