The Daily Mirror reports that Manchester United are set to reward Jesse Lingard for his great season at the club with a new £100,000 a week contract.
The England international has had a highly productive season at United, establishing himself as one of the best attacking midfielders in the country. Now, despite only giving him a new four-year deal worth £85,000 a week only a year ago, they are prepared to reward him further with a lucrative new contract.
Lingard has 13 goals and six assists in all competitions for United this season, and has established himself in the England squad, scoring his first international goal for his country in the friendly win over the Netherlands in Rotterdam in March.
The 25-year old played for both United and bitter rivals Liverpool as a youth, but eventually chose the Manchester club because he felt more comfortable there. He made his competitive debut for the club at home to Swansea City in 2014, and has since gone on to make 127 appearances for them in all competitions, scoring 24 goals in the process.
