Klopp set for new Liverpool deal

Jurgen Klopp’s reward for taking Liverpool to another Champions League final is set to take tangible form in the shape of a new deal with the club, with the German on the verge of signing a 5-year contract which will extend his stay at Anfield until 2020.

Reports suggest that the 51-year old is set for a bumper new deal to find off interest from  a long list of other clubs interested in acquiring the services of the former Borussia Dortmund boss, with Juventus rumoured to be amongst his suitors.

Liverpool have yet to pick up any silverware under Klopp, but will start marginal favourites over Spurs in their Champions League final, and can still win the League if Manchester City slip up on the final day.

Klopp still has three years left on his existing deal at Anfield, but that is set to be ripped up and replaced with a contract that will see his wages boosted to the level of the top stars that he manages.
