Klopp set to make Wilson transfer decision

Jurgen Klopp is set to allow Harry Wilson to leave the club, with a transfer fee likely to be set for him at £21 million.

That is despite rumours to the contrary which implied that the German was prepared to give the Welsh winger the chance to prove himself worthy of a first-team squad place at Anfield.

Instead, the decision to let Wilson leave is set to trigger a transfer flurry as clubs at home and abroad scramble to sign a player who impressed greatly on loan at Derby County last season, helping them reach the play-off finals which they ultimately lost to Aston Villa.

His potential availability has piqued the interest of several Bundesliga sides, keen for Wilson to follow in the footsteps of England’s teenage star Jadon Sancho, and Arsenal’s Reiss Nelson, who have already proved what British talent can bring to German football, and both Hoffenheim and RB Leipzig are said to be in the running.  There is also interest from Spain, from the likes of Getafe and Valencia, whilst Premier League suitors may include Leicester and newly promoted Aston Villa.
