The Sun reports that Leicester City are ready to make a move for Aston Villa midfielder Jack Grealish.
Villa are suffering financial problems, following their failure to regain their Premier League status after their defeat in the Championship play-off to Fulham, as their gamble on a quick return to the top flight failed.
The club have made numerous big-money deals over the past two years to try and guarantee promotion, but now the club’s owner, Dr Tony Xia has revealed he has been forced into a “rethink over the club’s finances.
To try and reduce the wage bill, veteran John Terry has already left the club by mutual consent, and now the highly-rated Grealish may be set to follow him out of the door. Villa do not want to sell Grealish but could be forced to let him go if they receive an offer in the region of £40 million.
For their part, Leicester are looking for a high profile replacement for winger Riyad Mahrez, who is on the verge of securing his long-awaited move to Manchester City.
