Liverpool duo move to Bournemouth

Bournemouth have completed the signing of Liverpool duo Nathaniel Clyne and Dominic Solanke, reports The BBC.

Clyne is joining the South Coast team on loan for the rest of the season, whilst Solanke has signed for Eddie Howe’s side in a £19 million permanent deal.

Clyne, who is behind Trent Alexander-Arnold in the pecking order at Anfield is being sent on loan to give him regular first-team football, and he remains part of Jurgen Klopp’s long-term plans.

Solanke’s move is more complex. He was on the verge of joining Crystal Palace on loan at the start of the week, only for the South London club to pull the plug on the deal over concerns about the striker’s fitness. At that time he was still thought to have a future at Liverpool, but because Premier League rules did not allow a move to Bournemouth to be made as a loan, the Anfield hierarchy have had a change of mind and sanctioned his sale.
