Young Lazio midfielder Sergej Milinkovic-Savic, is not for sale at any price, according to the player’s agent, Mateja Kezman.
The Serbian international has scored six goals for Lazio this season and has attracted interest from a number of top clubs, including Manchester City and Juventus.
However, head of the queue is said to be Manchester United who sent scouts to watch him during last weekend’s match against Sampdoria, when the player scored once and provided as assist as Lazio came from behind to win the game 2 -1.
Milinkovic-Savic joined Lazio from Belgian side Genk in 2015 for £16 million, but his strong performances since has seen his value rocket, with the Italian club turning down an offer of £62 million for him from an undisclosed club in the summer.
Now, however, it looks like the player is set to stay in Rome with his agent saying that he is “currently not for sale at any price”.
Cynics, however, may pick up on the word “currently”, and wonder if that is an indication that a mage-bid from any club may yet persuade Lazio to part with their young star.
