Manchester City ready to make January move for Wolves midfielder

Manchester City are considering a £60 million move for Wolves midfielder Ruben Neves.

That is according to City’s own website which reports that Pep Guardiola – who this week suffered a blow after Kevin de Bruyne was ruled out for at least three months after injuring his knee in a training ground accident – is keen to bring in another midfielder, with Neves topping his shortlist.

21-year old Neves has made a sensational start to his career in England since arriving from his native Portugal just over a year ago, helping his club win promotion and being nominated for the EFL Championship Player of the Season.

He also scored Wolves first goal on their return to the Premier League, striking a superb free kick to equalise against Everton a week ago. Now it looks like Neves, who has 5 international caps to his name for Portugal, may be set to continue his meteoric rise with a move to the Champions.
