Manchester United launch internal mole hunt

Manchester United are to launch an internal mole hunt after their entire starting line-up for their Saturday lunchtime clash was leaked to social media on the morning of the match, despite only players and backroom staff being aware of the actual names that would appear on the team sheet.

That is according to The Daily Mail, who report that manager Jose Mourinho was incensed by the leak, because it gave Chelsea manager Maurizio Sarri knowledge about how United were going to set-up, enabling him to take steps to counter it.

The match itself raised plenty of talking points, mainly surrounding the way that United, having been outplayed by Chelsea in the first half, and for 15 minutes of the second, were able to turn the match around and took the lead through two Anthony Martial goals, only to be denied by Ross Barkley’s equaliser.

That then provoked a touchline melee was provoked when one of Chelsea assistant manager, Marco Ianni, celebrated too exuberantly in Mourinho’s face, and the incensed Portuguese manager had to be restrained physically from a fight.
