Manchester United player set for Old Trafford exit

Luke Shaw has been told he is free to leave Manchester United in January, either on loan or for a permanent deal if the right bidder can be found.

The England left-back is way down the pecking order at Old Trafford amidst reports of a bitter rift with manager Jose Mourinho, and has made just two appearances for United all season, both as a substitute in Carabao Cup games.

One possible destination for the player could be Turkey, with Fenerbahce said to have a keen interest in signing him. However, it is that the Shaw would prefer to stay in England, with Chelsea, Arsenal and his former club Southampton all said to be monitoring his situation.

The 22-year old would command a fee in the region of £20 million, which is £10 million less than United paid Southampton for the player 3 years ago, in what was then a world record fee for a teenager.
