Marcus Rojo set for United stay

Marcus Rojo is set to stay at Manchester United, after being told that he is part of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s plans.

The 29-year old was widely expected to be on his way out of Old Trafford this summer as part of the United clear-out, but now it looks like there has been a change of mind on both sides, and he likely to extend his stay in the North-West.

That is despite making just 6 appearances for the Reds last season, mainly due to a series of injuries.

Rojo joined United from Sporting Lisbon for £16 million in August 2014, but has struggled for consistency and form, whilst injuries mean he has only twice played more than 20 Premier League games in any season for them. Despite this record, Solskjaer obviously believes that Rojo has something to offer when fit, and the player himself has made his feelings clear by saying “For now I would like to stay at United”.
