Real Madrid weigh up summer bid for Marcus Rashford

According to The Daily Mail, Real Madrid are weighing up a summer move for Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford.

Real are looking to revamp their attack for next season, with Cristiano Ronaldo and Karim Benzema now in their thirties, and Gareth Bale said to be ready to return to the Premier League with Manchester United. The Spanish champions have been linked with moves for Bayern Munich’s Robert Lewandoski and Harry Kane from Tottenham, but now Rashford is reported to be another name on their list.

The 20-year old forward has seen his playing opportunities under Jose Mourinho limited this season, with both Anthony Martial and Alexis Sanchez competing with him to partner Romelu Lukaku, and a move to Madrid could suit him if it means more game time, especially as it potentially gives him the chance to play alongside Ronaldo, a player he has long admired.

Rashford played for England in their 1 – 0 friendly victory over the Netherlands on Friday night, with the winner scored by his Manchester United teammate Jesse Lingard.
