Spurs set for January clear-out

Tottenham are set to make major changes to their squad in January, with up to four players being allowed to leave, as Mauricio Pochettino looks set to freshen-up his squad.

They include midfield duo Moussa Dembelé and Victor Wanyama, as well as forwards Vincent Janssen and Georges-Kevin Nkoudou. Dembelé is out of contract at the end of the season and with the 31-year old having turned down a new deal, Spurs are desperate to realise some value for him rather than let him leave for free next June.

The other three are now deemed surplus to requirements with Spurs ready to listen to offers for all of them.

The news may be an indication that Spurs are ready to jettison the players to make way for new arrivals, although Pochettino’s transfer plans may be adversely affected by the separate news that the club has had to borrow another £237 million
