United set to confirm Solskjaer

Manchester United are set to confirm Ole Gunnar Solskjaer as their permanent manager this week, That is according to The Daily Mail who report that although Manchester United bosses are refusing to give anything away, they are prepared to hand the job to the Norwegian after months of speculation.

Since taking over on an interim basis in December following the sacking of Jose Mourinho, Solkskjaer has won 14 of his 19 games in charge, and helped them reach the quarter-finals of the Champions League. He has also helped to heal some of the many rifts in the club that had appeared during the Mourinho period, with a number of key players deciding to pledge their long-term future to United as a result.

Now the 46-year old Norwegian can get down to the serious business of plotting the side’s summer transfer business.
