It is reported that Valencia are lining-up a January transfer bid for Tottenham midfielder Moussa Sissoko.
The French international, who joined Spurs from Newcastle United last year, had a tough first season in North London, struggling to make a sustained impact in the first team and attracting widespread criticism from both fans and commentators.
This campaign, however, he has enjoyed something of a renaissance, having made 10 appearances in the Premier League, and four in the Champions League, including both matches against Real Madrid.
Despite this, Spurs may be tempted to cash-in on a player who they value at £22 million, because they have a wealth of midfield options available to them, and could use the money from his sale to strengthen the team in other areas.
For their parts, Sissoko might consider the move as he looks to cement his place in France’s World Cup squad, whilst Valencia are looking to sustain their title challenge in La Liga, having now moved up to second in the table behind Barcelona.
