Wenger receives multiple job offers

The Independent reports that Arsene Wenger has been inundated with job offers for when he leaves Arsenal at the end of the season, with the Frenchman, admitting at a press conference, that he has had more than he expected.

Speaking ahead of Arsenal’s trip to Leicester, the penultimate time he will manage the side, Wenger admitted to interest from a number of clubs, but remained coy about his immediate future.

However, he did confirm that will not be working for the media full-time next season as he wants to continue in football in some capacity.

A number of clubs are actively looking for new managers, amongst them several in the Premier League, including Chelsea and Everton. However, another job in England is unlikely to appeal to Wenger because he does not want to face Arsenal, the club he joined in 1996, and with whom he has such a deep emotional attachment.

Instead he is likely to move abroad, with teams as far spread as China, Germany, Italy and Spain all vying for his services.
