West Bromwich Albion are considering signing former Norwich City players Wes Hoolahan and Russell Martin after it emerged that both men had been training with the Baggies this week.
Both players are free agents after leaving Carrow Road in the summer, which means that they can sign for a new club even though the transfer window for both permanent and loan deals is closed.
36-year old Irish international Hoolahan left Norwich in June after 10 years and more than 350 appearances for the club, whilst former captain Martin, who is 32, and who spent the second half of last season on loan with Rangers, was also released.
Now, according to The Sun, Hoolahan and Martin could be offered the opportunity to play in The Championship, with both men set to be offered short-term deals, as Darren Moore looks to strengthen his squad in order to mount a promotion challenge.
