West Ham are considering making an audacious move in the January window for Chelsea striker Olivier Giroud.
That is according to The Sun who report that the Hammers want to add more firepower to their attack and that Giroud is a key target, and a player in who they have a long-standing interest.
The former Arsenal striker will soon be entering the final year of his contract at Stamford Bridge, having only signed an 18-month deal when he made the made from North to West London in January. Although he has been linked with a move back to France and Ligue 1 with Marseille, West Ham are hoping to convince him to continue his stay in the Premier League.
32-year old, Giroud, who was part of France’s successful World Cup winning team in the summer, has yet to find the net for either club or country so far this season.
