Ambitions Wolverhampton Wanderers, having just completed the signing of Adama Traoré from Middlesbrough, have shown that they are not yet done in terms of transfer dealings after agreeing a fee of £16 million to sign Manchester City midfielder Oleksandr Zinchenko.
That is according to Sky Sports News who report that City are willing to let the player leave at that price but that is down to Wolves’ manager Nuno Espírito Santo to persuade the player that the move will be good for his career.
Zinchenkoo joined City in 2016 from Russian club Ufa, and after spending the 2016/2017 season on loan at PSV Eindhoven, began to force his way into the City first team last season, making 14 appearances in all competitions and deputising several times as a make shift left-back. However, despite that, he is now seen as surplus to requirements at The Etihad, because City have plenty of midfield options and are keen to give more game time to up and coming English teenager Phil Foden.
