Chelsea manager Maurizio Sarri has refused to sanction any January move for England midfielder Ruben Loftus-Cheek in January.
The 22-year old has become frustrated at his lack of first-team opportunities at Stamford Bridge this season, making just three starts, two in the Europa League, and one in his side’s Carabao Cup win over Derby County last weekend. His lack of Premier League action has seen him lose his place in Gareth Southgate’s England squad, and has alerted other sides to his potential availability.
Crystal Palace, with whom he spent a successful loan spell last season have made it clear that they would welcome him back any time, whilst, according to The Sun, West Ham would like to take him on loan in January as they look to strengthen the centre of their midfield.
However, it now looks like Loftus-Cheek will be going nowhere, although his manager has made it clear that he needs to improve his level of performance.
