Spurs midfielder set for January move to China

Spurs midfielder Mousa Dembele is ready to quit the North Londoners in favour of a big money move to the Chinese Super League in January, when the transfer window opens again.

That is according to The Sun who report that Beijing Sinobo Guoan are ready to tempt the Belgian international with a three year deal worth £192,000 a week which is more than double what he currently earns at Tottenham.

The Beijing club, who are currently leading the Super League tried to sign Dembele before last February, but Spurs resisted their overtures then. However, with the 31-year old out of contract next summer, and seemingly unwilling to sign a new deal, Spurs may be willing to take the £8 million to £10 million offer that is said to be on the table than see him leave for free next July.

Dembele has appeared in all Tottenham’s matches this season but his presence was not enough to prevent his side slipping to a surprise defeat at Watford on Sunday.
