West Ham defender in demand

West Ham defender Reece Oxford finds himself in demand, with several clubs chasing his signature.

The England-under 20 international, once listed as one of the best youth prospects in English football, is becoming increasingly frustrated at his lack of first-team opportunities at the London Stadium under Manuel Pellegrini, and, with the Hammers now willing to let him leave before Thursday’s deadline day, could be set for a move this week.

Nottingham Forest, under new manager Martin O’Neill, are one club interested in the 20-year old, and could be set to launch an £8 million bid for him, as the Championship side look to strengthen ahead of a late push for a play-off spot.

Alternatively, as Sky Sports reports, Eintracht Frankfurt are also ready to make a bid for the player, who has already experience of the Bundesliga, having spent most of the 2017 – 2018 season on loan with Borussia Mönchengladbach.
